General meetings of the Needham Democratic Town Committee are opportunities to discuss issues of concern to local Democrats, and plan electoral and other activities in support of Democratic candidates and policies. From time-to-time, elected officials and other speakers are featured. These meetings are open to anyone who wishes to attend.
Needham Caucus for State Convention 2025

The 2025 Needham Democratic Caucus will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025 for the purpose of electing delegates to attend the MassDems Convention on Saturday, September 13, at the MassMutual Center in Springfield MA.
If you plan to attend the caucus, please fill in this Form to Indicate Interest (https://forms.gle/PU8acTL8knXJFQqn9). Completing this form is optional, but it will assist us in preparing for and conducting the caucus in a more efficient manner.
REGISTRATION TIME: The Needham Caucus will open for caucus participants beginning at 6:30 PM. Participants will continue to be admitted until 7:15 PM, when sign in for participating in the caucus will end. Anyone signing in after 7:15 PM will be permitted to attend the caucus as a guest, but will not be permitted to vote for delegates to the convention or to run as a candidate to be a delegate to the convention.
ELIGIBILITY FOR PARTICIPATING: to run as a delegate or to vote for delegates, you MUST (1) be a registered or pre-registered Democrat residing in Needham as of the date of the caucus, and (2) not have publicly opposed the nominee of the Democratic party in the last election cycle. You SHOULD intend (1) to spend the day at the convention on Sept 13, and (2) to promptly pay the convention fee, $75 for most, but there are some discounts and a financial hardship waiver. The caucus is an open meeting, so anyone not eligible to participate may still attend and observe.
VOTER REGISTRATION STATUS: To register to vote, to re-register as a Democrat, or to check your registration status, go here: https://www.sec.state.ma.us/OVR/. Please do this early before the caucus. If you change registration shortly before the caucus, please bring a printout confirmation of the change.
ATTENDING THE CONVENTION APART FROM THE CAUCUS: If you cannot attend the caucus, but would like to attend the convention, please contact us by email at needhamdems@gmail.com. There are a few different paths for attending. One path is a process that has been known as an “add-on” process whereby you submit a form request after the caucus. This process is open to various typically underrepresented racial and ethnic groups, “youth” (16 to 35 years old), and LGBTQ+. There is no guarantee, so you should try to attend the caucus if you can. There is also an ability to fill unfilled seats if an interest is shown prior to the caucus.
