General meetings of the Needham Democratic Town Committee are opportunities to discuss issues of concern to local Democrats, and plan electoral and other activities in support of Democratic candidates and policies. From time-to-time, elected officials and other speakers are featured. These meetings are open to anyone who wishes to attend.

Advocates Academy: Grassroots Lobbying 101

“Lobbying” is just a fancy term for having a conversation with your legislator about an issue you care about.
At this training we will discuss how to schedule a lobby meeting, how to prepare for your visit, and best practices when speaking with your legislators. We’ll also review some of the ACLU’s top legislative priorities.
Following the training, we’re happy to work with you one-on-one and help you and others from your legislative district get set up for a lobby visit!
